T-Level Industry Placements

Dear Parent/Carer,

T-Level Industry Placements

At Leigh Academy Halley, we are proud to deliver T-Levels in our Sixth Form, providing students with alternative qualifications, which blends classroom learning with industry placements. These rigorous qualifications prepare young people for skilled employment, apprenticeships, or university studies, with a strong focus on practical and technical skills. As part of T-Levels Week, we are reaching out to parents and carers for support in connecting with businesses in and around Greenwich or the South East, particularly in the fields of healthcare, engineering, and IT, to support our T-Level students.

These connections are invaluable in giving students a deeper understanding of the working world, inspiring their career aspirations, and potentially securing industry placements that are a vital part of their qualifications. If you want to learn more about T-Levels, please look at the information on our website.

What are we looking for?
If you own, work in, or know of a business that could offer industry placements or speak to our students about their work, we’d love to hear from you. Conversations with employers help lay the groundwork for future placements and provide students with real-world insights into various career paths.

How can you help?
If your organisation (or one you know of) might be interested, please email tyrone.lecky@halley.latrust.org.uk with the following details:

  • The name of the business (and website if available)
  • The types of careers or roles someone could discuss with our students
  • The name and email address of the best contact

We will follow up directly with the contact to provide more details and explore their interest in supporting our T-Level students.

Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of our students. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact me at the email above.

Best regards,

Mr. T Lecky
Director of Learning
