STEM Club
Year: 7
Description: Engaging students in problem and project-based activities to develop
their 21st century skills such as critical thinking, creativity and innovativeness
Sewing Club
Year: All
Description: Students will learn the steps for creating garments and accessories using textiles and learn the life skill of sewing and crafting.
GCSE English Intervention
Year: 11
Description: Support for students struggling with structuring and writing essays.
Leigh Academy Halley Drama Company

Description: Opportunity to perform and engage with Drama.
Girls’ Football
Year: 7-10
Description: Students will engage in both skills based sessions alongside game based and tactical sessions. Each week there will be a different focus in training with the aim of developing students as overall football players.
Robotics Club

Description: Students applying coding theory and engineering-design concepts to make different robotic models using the VEX-IQ kit.

Description: A fantastic opportunity for students to come and develop their skills in basketball.
Fitness Club

Description: Students have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and
understanding of how to train the different components of fitness, and the impact this has on their health, wellbeing and performance.
Gardening Club

Description: Bi-weekly club to learn about plants, planting and all things green. Explore learning outside and learn what keeps our world growing.

Description: Students have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and
understanding of how to train the different components of fitness, and the impact this has on their health, wellbeing and performance.
Volleyball

Description: Student will develop a range of key techniques and skills to enable student to successfully play game in volleyball. There will also be opportunities for students to develop their knowledge and understanding for the rules of the game and engage in competitive matches.
KS3 Art Homework catch-up club

Description: An opportunity to use the art materials to catch up on Art homework.
KS3 Maths Homework Club
Year: KS3
Description: Offering support and access to equipment to compete SPARX online homework. Open to any KS3 student.
GCSE History Intervention
Year: 11
Description: Targeted support to ensure you hit your target grades in GCSE History.
GCSE Maths Intervention 1
Year: 11
Description: Intervention classes focussing on Grade 1, G2 and G3 areas of Mathematics using a sequence of support lessons and associated booklet to support students in achieving G7, G8 and G9 in GCSE Maths exam.
GCSE Maths Intervention 2

Description: Intervention classes focussing on G4 and G5 areas of Mathematics using a sequence of support lessons and associated booklet to support students in achieving in GCSE maths.
Badminton / Table Tennis
Year: All
Description: A fantastic opportunity for students to come and develop their skills in both badminton and table tennis. Students will spend time developing
a foundation of skills in isolation before testing themselves in competitive match play situations. Opportunities for social play.

Description: An after school club where students work with and assemble a race car kit and design the body. All leading up to competitions around London and the UK!
STEM Micro Drone Club

Description: Students get to build and test microdrones and then build a circuit to race them in. There will be competitions run around London that we will be entering!
