At Leigh Academy Halley we have high expectations of all pupils and support all our students to reach their potential. We aim to improve the attainment of both the non-disadvantaged and disadvantaged by planning, implementing and evaluating strategies that have the highest impact.
To achieve this we provide high quality teaching in all classrooms supplemented by targeted interventions to those that are not currently achieving their academic potential. All staff are committed to ensuring that pupils achieve the best outcomes possible irrespective of their disadvantage. Even though some of our strategies have had a high impact historically to close the achievement gap, we strive to ensure gains are maximised and gaps are reduced even further.
Although our strategies outlined in the documents are focused on disadvantaged pupils, it is part of our wider recovery plans for the whole school population.
