Dear Parent/Carer
Cultural Capital Day – Tuesday 2nd April 2025
The second Cultural Capital Day of the academic year will be held on Tuesday 2nd April, designed to enrich students’ learning beyond the standard curriculum.
For Year 13, the day will be dedicated to revision and exam preparation for their imminent examinations. Most students will revise independently at home, following revision activities set by their teachers. However, Year 13 ICT students must attend a coursework intervention session, and Year 13 IB Art students will use the time to finalise their portfolios. Year 13 students required on-site will attend from 8:30am to 1:15pm.
Year 12 students will take part in a Carousel Programme focused on essential life skills, including:
- Nutrition and cooking
- Financial literacy
- Mindfulness through physical activity and crafting
Year 12 will be at the Academy from 8:30am to 1:15pm and will be dismissed after lunch.
We encourage all students to fully engage with the day’s activities to maximise their personal and academic development.
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours faithfully
Mr James Cowie | Head of Hawking School
